1. Graphical User Interface (GUI)

   • Advantages
     • Low levels of ICT are needed
       • easy to use
         • pictures can be more meaningful than words
   • Disadvantages
     • can be large and complex
       • takes up resources
         • can make the computer run slower

2. Menu Driven

   • Advantages
     • nagivation to find option is simple
       • user input is validated
   • Disadvantages
     • some options may have no use
       • can be difficult to locate
         • if there are high numbers of sub-menus

3. Command line

   • Advantages
     • instructions execute quickly
       • instrustions are versatile
         • large number of options can be picked
           • small operating system
   • Disadvantages
     • need to learn special instructions
       • need to type instruction precisely
       • high levels of ICT needed
         • complex levels with some commands

4. Touch sensitive interface

   • Advantages
     • low levels of ICT needed
       • less possibility of theft
         • more practicality in some environments wherre a keyboard cant be used
   • Disadvantages
     • can become dirty and scratched very easily
       • expensive to fix
       • higher cost than keyboard, mouse and monitor

5. Biometrics

   • Advantages
     • Hard to hack into
     • prevents theft
   • Disadvantages
     • can be very expensive
     • if broken/damaged it is expensive to pay maintanence
     • easily damaged
