1. A law that covers the storing of personal information in a computer

2. DPA Terminology

   • Personal data
     • Covers both facts and opinions about a living individual
   • Data Subject
     • The person that the data is being collected from or stored about
   • Data processor/user
     • Someone who accesses, uses and processes personal data as part of their jobs e.g. A customer service advisor who needs to look at a customers account so that they can answer a query.
   • Data Controller
     • Often the person in charge of the organisation - but it doesnt necessarily have to be. This person decides what data the organisation needs to collect and what it'll be used for
