1. Fit doors with security keypads and keep them locked

2. Install burglar alarm and fit monitors in every room.

3. Install closed circuit television (CCTV) cameras inside and outside

4. Require all people entering the building to authenticate their identity.

5. Issue swipe cards (which store a person's details in the card stripe)

6. Fit blinds so people can't see in.

7. Use biometrics, for example fingerprint or iris scanner, to identify people based on their physical characteristics.
