1. NOT gate

   • The output is always opposite to the input.
   • so input 1, output 0.

2. AND gate

   • Two inputs
   • Both inputs must be on/true/1 for the output to be 1.
     • If the input is anything else the output will be off/false/0.

3. OR gate

   • Two inputs.
   • Both must be off/false/0 for the output to be the same.
   • If one input is 1 the output will be 1.

4. NAND gate

   • you take the same rules for AND and make the output the opposite of the AND output.

5. NOR gate

   • You take the same rules for OR gate except you make the output opposite to the OR output.
   • To remember what NOR means, it is OR with N for negative on the front.
