1. needs

   • high levels of control
   • standardised procedure
   • manipulate the IV to measure effect on DV

2. lab is highest

3. field is low

   • because enviroment could have changed slightly since last time, this is because we cannot control the enviroment but we can control the lab settings

4. strengths of low reliability

   • high ecological validity
   • less DC&SD

5. weaknesses of low reliability

   • not control extreaneous variables
   • not infer cause and effect
   • low validity
     • lack of control so we do not know if we are measuring what we are meant to be measuring or if it is an extrenous varaible
