1. Colouring

   • Colours opposite to each other on the colour wheel are called complementary colours.
     • Red, blue and yellow are primary colours and are the main colours to mix for making different colours.

2. Shading

   • Hatching
     • An example of hatching
     • Hatching is used to indicate shading, and is done by drawing a series of lines either close to each other or away from each other to show light and shadows.
       • When you draw another set of lines overlapping with the lines you have drawn, it is called cross hatching.
   • Contour
     • Contour shading is done by drawing lines that are curved to match the contour of the subject.
   • Strippling
     • Strippling is done by drawing a series of dots, closer or far away from each other to show light and shadows.
