1. Cytoplasm

   • The portion of the cell outside the nucleus
     • Works w/nucleus in the business of life
   • In both plant and animal cells

2. Cell Membrane

   • Thin flexible barrier covering cells
     • Regulates what enters and leaves the cell and also protects and supports the cell
   • In plant and animal cells

3. Cell Wall

   • Strong supporting layer around the membrane
     • Support, shape, and protects the cell
   • In only plant cells

4. Nucleus

   • In both plant and animal cells
   • Large membrane enclosed structure
     • Contains DNA

5. Nuclear Envelope

   • Only in animal cells
   • Double-layered membrane that enveloped the nucleus of a eukaryotic cell
     • Separates content of the nucleus from the cytoplasm

6. Chromatin

   • In plant and animal cells
   • A complex of DNA
     • Carries cells genetic information

7. Chromosome

   • In plant and animal cells
   • Found in nucleus / thread-like
     • Carries cells genetic information

8. Nucleolus

   • Only in animal cells
   • Round granular structure within the nucleus
     • Involved with ribosomal RNA synthesis and formation of ribosomes in eukaryotes

9. Ribosome

   • In both plant and animal cells
   • Small particles of RNA and protein found through out cytoplasm
     • Produce proteins on orders that come from its DNA "boss".
