      2. 1 year: Should have been harder
        1. Clemenceau lost French election
        2. Britain
          1. Most people happy
            1. Thought Germany got what they deserved
            2. Some worried...
              1. Germany might be angry
                1. Germany may fight back

                  Anmerkungen:

                  • They would do this be reclaiming all of the land that they had lost due to the treaty.
              2. Germany
                1. Lost 10% of land
                  1. Lost 12.5% of their population
                    1. Didn't feel they were to blame

                      Anmerkungen:

                      • Germany thought that they weren't the only ones to blame for WWI, they thought other countries played a part too. 
                      1. They had no say in the Treaty

                        Anmerkungen:

                        • They were forced to sign it and couldn't negotiate any of the points.
                        1. Thought it would be nicer to them

                          Anmerkungen:

                          • They thought this because of Wilson's 14 Points speech. 
                          1. German government changed

                            Anmerkungen:

                            • The government who signed the treaty were not actually the ones who had fought in the war. 
                            1. Army limits made them vulnerable
                              1. They feared poverty and starvation

                                Anmerkungen:

                                • They thought that the reparations were much higher than what they could afford and thought that they wouldn't be able to pay them.
