Cassio Character Development Act 1 Scene 2

We learn little of Cassio's personality in this scene except that Othello regards him as a friend. Cassio is just as surprised as Iago on hearing of Othello's marriage. Cassio has been diligently searching for Othello, who has been "hotly call'd for" by the Duke and the Senate and we gather the Cassio is a loyal friend to Othello.
