Volume II - Chapter 6 - Page 160
"Little to be done but hear Lady Catherine...without any intermission...delivering her opinion on every subject in so decisive a manner that proved she was not used to have her judgement controverted....enquired into Charlotte's domestic concerns...gave her a great deal of advice as to the management of them all; told her how everything ought to be, and instructed her as to the care of her cows and poultry."
Bad manners
Full of themselves
Emphasis on Pride

Respect without earning it
"Were they handsome...educated..what carriage her father kept...her mother's maiden name."
There are man reasons why to marry people - learn about honesty and lust between characters - Fitzwilliam = gentlemen however; Wickam = deceitful and dumps her when he realises she has no money. This is where you learn about people's pride and prejudices, assuming they are one way and have worldly possessions however; upon realizing they don't, telling her the truth for why you cannot stay makes them a gentlemen and not prideful but practical.
