My Own research idea is how to create a better curriculum to increase the Four skills in English applied in the institutions in Colombia and get better results in the students, according to the policies and studies current.

Problem Research

The levels of English in the population in Colombia are lows, only 6 per cent of university students have a good level of English, his is demonstrated by the results associated with his performance in the English test of the State exams student population are failing to meet the goals of the “National Bilingual Program”, which aims to ensure Colombians have at least B1 English. and teaching of the language is woefully inadequate across all schooling (Banco de la República)

Research Questions

-¿How to review and adapt the curriculum in the area of ​​English for all degrees of education in Colombia to enrich bilingualism in students and in the educational community?

-¿ How to design an adequate methodology and the curriculum adapted to each degree of education in Colombia so that they acquire mastery of the four skills in English?

General Objective

Make a review and adaptation of the curriculum in the area of ​​English for all degrees of education in Colombia, taking in count the Factors and Techniques and Strategies Used to Develop the Four Skills in English

Specific Objectives

Make a diagnosis of school management that is carried out in all grades of Colombia of current curricula and pedagogies.

- Using a SWOT matrix, to analyze the actions carried out in terms of Factors Contributing the Development of skills in English and the Pedagogical Strategies used for this propose.

- Prepare a proposal for the improvement of curricula and pedagogical strategies that apply to educational institutions in Colombia.
