• Adjectives are words that describe or modify other words, making your writing and speaking much more specific, and a whole lot more interesting. Words like small, blue, and sharp are descriptive, and they are all examples of adjectives. Because adjectives are used to identify or quantify individual people and unique things, they are usually positioned before the noun or pronoun that they modify. Some sentences contain multiple adjectives.

TYPES OF Adjectives

Adjectives of quality

• words that describe quality of a noun or a pronoun.

• she has a blue phone

adjective of quantity

• words that describe quantity of a noun or a pronoun
• examples:
• I have enough money
• i have some friends

Adjectives of number

• words that describe exact number of a noun
• examples:
• - Johanna has four apples
• - we have one car .

Demonstrative Adjectives

• words that points out a person, thing or animal
• examples:
• - This book is mine
• - That are your shoes

Interrogative adjectives

• Wh words are used with nouns to ask questions
• examples :
• which book is yours?

Possessive adjectives

• Words that are used to show ownership
• examples :
• - virgie left her jeans in my house.
• - Artur left his bat at home
