Ten presente los siguientes consejos cuando describas a tu familia:
Si quieres hablar de tus hermanos y hermanas, es decir hombres y mujeres, usa la palabra siblings.
Para hablar de tus padres, o sea padre y madre, utiliza la expresión parents.
Para hablar del matrimonio puedes decir Lisa and John got married in 1991 o, Lisa and John married in 1991 (Lisa y John se casaron en 1991). La expresión married sin got es más formal. También evita decir Lisa got married with Mark. Más bien puedes decir Lisa got married to Mark.
