Por ejemplo:

“We haven’t seen each other for a long time”. - 3"SINCE"Ésta se usa para indicar un momento a partir del cual la acción continúa.
Por ejemplo:
"I have not drunk water since the afternoon."
"I haven't seen you since Monday" - 4"AGO"Ago, equivale a hace...
Y se usa cuando no nos acordamos de una fecha exacta o cuando ha pasado un periodo de tiempo aproximado.
por ejemplo:
I first heard that song ten months ago.
I bought those shoes a week ago
