Missing class -> if the class we are referencing is not present in any of the directories or jar files on the class path
Incorrect path -> Even if the class exists if the path specified in our code to access it is incorrect the JVM wont find it
Conflicting Jars -> In rare cases if we have multiple jar files with the same class name but different implementations the jvm might pick the wrong one - 3Was ist class path?it is a directory structure that the java virtual machine searches for classes and libraries when running our program
