- 2Describe a star topologyEach individual device has its own cable that connects it to a central server. Often used in businesses and in schools as they are usually very reliable.
- 3What is a Switch and how does it work?Is very similar to a hub but directs network traffic only to the intended recipient, thus cuts down on unnecessary network traffic. It does this by building up a table of addresses of computers on the network.
- 4What is the most expensive type of topology to install?Star
- 5In which topology are there many paths that data can take to get to its destination?Mesh
- 6What does a Wireless Access Point do?Allows wireless devices to connect to a wired network. Converts data it receives through cables into wireless signal and vice versa.
