Cards in this deck (5)
- 1Motion SensorSimple Harmonic Motion
When finding the wavelength you could use a motion sensor to see how long it takes to complete a single period
Wavelength= v/f - 2Stopwatch (Camera)Projectile Motion
When trying to calculate how long an object took to reach it's highest point along with how long it took to reach the ground again with any opposing forces
x= x0+v0t+1/2at^2 - 3Force SensorMomentum
When you need to find the impulse within a collision you would need to find the change in linear momentum which is caused by force and the equation to calculate it is
▵p= F▵t= mv
when using the force sensor you can graph this by the y-axis being the force and the x-axis being the time in order to find impulse - 4ScaleForces
In order to find the sum of the forces acting on the object in a lab based question you would need to first weight the object on a scale, then use a motion sensor to calculate the acceleration, and then finally use the equation ∑F=ma - 5RulerSprings
When you need to find the elastic potential energy of a spring you need to measure the final and initial points of the compressed spring then use the equation Us= 1/2 kx^2
