| Question | Answer |
| MLA format | Modern language association Used to type most college or high school standard papers. |
| Font | The font should be Times new Roman or any font that is able to distinguish between Italics and Normal Text. Same also applies for Bold and Normal Text. |
| Heading(s) | The heading must include Last Name, and page number. The section on the upper left corner should include course, Name, instructor or professor, and Date |
| Time | To apply date on Microsoft Word, use Time and Date on the Insert tab and use the date on the fourth line of the upper left hand section |
| Tools | The show/hide symbol must be present and the ruler should be present as well when typing an essay. |
| Margins | The margins should form an "hourglass" at the 1/2 inch mark. This should allow the indentation to be appropriate for your instructor. |
| Spacing | Double spacing is mandatory for papers. |
