1THE COLON (:) Can used to: -After the salutation in a bussines letter or memo. -To separates hours from minutes. -To separate chapter and verse in scripture.Example:
-Dear daughter:.
-See you 4:30.
-The Monday studied Mateo 8:9.
2COMMA (,) Use commas to separate items in a list of three or more.Example:
Eliseo has one dog, one cat and two hamster.
I like to listen to music, read novels and rainy days.
My sister has 3 children, Mary, Matias and Miguel.
3PERIODS (.) The period has three primary functions: To show that a sentence has ended. To show that an abbreviation has ended. As a decimal point.Example:
I love you, take care.
See you at Av. Hidalgo No. 2052.
Pepe is 1.82 meters tall.
4SEMICOLONS (") Use to: To combinate two closely related complete sentences wich are nor joined by a conjunction. To separate complete sentences that are joined by a conjunctive adver. To separate items in a list when commas alone would be confusing.Example:
"He loves poetry"
"Mere is very intelligent"
"Sharks are beautiful"
