The witches meet on the heath.

Macbeth and Banquo are brave warriors and help to win the battle against Norway.

The witches predict Macbeth will be king and Banquo’s son will be king.

Lady Macbeth convinces Macbeth to kill Duncan.

Macbeth kills Duncan and is immediately remorseful.

Duncan’s sons flee and Macbeth then becomes King of Scotland.

Macbeth becomes power hungry and scared of Banquo - Banquo is suspicious. He has Banquo killed by murderers. He then sees the ghost of Banquo.

Macbeth becomes worried about losing the crown so he visits the witches and then give him three prophecies. He comes away thinking he’s invincible.

Macbeth decides to kill Macduff’s family as the apparitions told him the ‘Beware Macduff’. Macduff and Duncan’s sons plan an attack on Macbeth.

The English army invade led by Malcolm and Macduff beheads Macbeth.
