1. Firewall

   • A firewall is a system which can control what your devices can send and recive stopping is to prevent unauthoriedaccess from unauthorised users sending virues or malicious software.
     • It prevents harmful data entering your computerand can send and recive data packets
       • Controls what files can eneter and leave your program so things like malware cant eneterr your program or files
     • Protects against malicious software and is used a program is trying to connect to another network

2. Anti-malware

   • Anti-malware is also known as Anti-virus soft ware which scans for malware(malicious software) which is to get rid of bad things that are trying to come onto your computer these may spread so it is good to have it done periodically.
     • It scans the computer periodically
       • Checks for viruses regularly
     • It should be used on email attachments and downloads and when downloading new software from the internet
       • Scans to check if the file your program is recieving does not have any malware.Then it quarantines(isolate) them.Used to help protect a computer network from intruders

3. Encryption

   • Used to scramble data being sent over a network so that it cant be read unless you have the
     • It makes sensitive data more secure and less likley to be intercepted by those unauthorised to use it.It is important because it allows you to securley protect data that you dont want any one else to see.

   • A password is a remembered word ,phrase mix of numbers and letters,also known as alpha numeric mix, that you will be asked to put in when you go on a site so unauthoriesd users can not go on the website and take or share any information of yours and so virus cant take over it.Apassword has to be a miniumum of 8 for it to be secure do ont use something personal as your passsword as it would be to easy to guess.
     • If you do not have a password you have a big risk of loosing files and data.A password is agood way for your information to be secure.
