1. PALEOLITHIC PERIOD 5 miilion years ago - 10000 years ago

   • People were nomadic. They hunted and fished. They also collected and ate fruit and plants.
   • Tools are made from stone, wood and animal bones. Paleolithic people discovered how to make fire.
   • They lived in caves or simple huts.
   • They painted animals, hunting scenes and put their hands in caves like a form of art.

2. NEOLITHIC PERIOD 10000 years ago - 7000 years ago

   • People cultivated crops and rised animals. They didn't need to move, they bacame sedentary and lived in villages.
   • ART Neolithic people made: - ceramic pots from clay -baskets and polished from stones.
   • Some people were artisans and other were farmers
   • People started to exchange products. This was the beginning of the trade.

3. THE BRONZE AND IRON AGES 7000 years ago - 5000 years ago

   • People melted metal to make different shapes.
   • They invented the wheel to transport things easily.
   • People lived in villages. There were walls to defend the village. People could be farmers artisants li
   • Celts and iberians lived in the Iberian Peninsula. First ones lived in village, the second ones lived on the Mediterranean coast, in cities. They made sculptures called megaliths.

4. ¿WHAT IS IT?

   • Started when humans first appeared and ended when people invented writing
   • Since no writing documents exist, we use material remains to study this period. For example: hunting instruments, paintings, sculptures, etc...
