1. First Love

   • Clara's first ever love is the toy nutcracker solider she receives from the orphanage.
     • However, some of the other orphans make fun of her for it and rip the arms of the solider.
       • This leaves Clara heartbroken
     • This toy eventually turns into a real life puppet who removes his mask and reveals himself as a young man
       • Him and Clara go together into the frozen lake before Princess Sugar takes Nutcracker for herself
         • with the help of the twin Cupids, Clara enters sweetie land in order to follow the Nutcracker
           • They eventually reunite back in the orphanage where they escaped together
   • In all versions of the Nutcracker, Clara falls in love

2. Dreams

   • The orphans have received some Christmas presents for the first time in ages, but only due to the governors visiting.
     • Their dream of having a happy, exciting Christmas gets taken away once the governors go due to Dr Dross and Matron taking away all the gifts and locking them up in a cupboard.
   • Clara dreams about a world that's a million miles away from her home at the orphanage
   • Life seems to go back to normal for Clara after she finds herself back in the orphanage.
     • However, she finds her handsome prince has been waiting there for her all along and they escape from the orphanage together.

3. Adventure

   • The Nutcracker breaks the orphanage walls open to show Clara a better world that waiting for her outside

4. Growing up

   • The twin Cupids give Clara a new, beautiful dress when she's trying to follow the Nutcracker
     • this helps to make her feel more grown up and independent

5. sexuality

   • The marshmallow girls are really flirty in the way they dance
     • Especially when around male characters
   • The knickerbockerglory man's movement and gestures are also very flirtatious when around female characters
