     • They increase the presentations file size
     • May require specific media player
     • They may lose affect if too many are included
   • They can help to explain processes and visualise concepts

   • Animation is an effect added to cetain objects in presentation meaning they move in pre set movements
   • Advantages
     • Control the timings at which objects appear on the screen
     • Draw attention to certain items on the presentation

6. Slide transitions

   • Slide transition is the movement between slides and is done in a interative style e.g. checkerboard, dissolve or wipe

   • Hotspot
     • Hotspot is a special type if hyperlink attached to an object meaning when clicked on it takes you to a page linked to that object
     • Link a page to a landmark on a map to give extra information
     • Link to a video on a topic/ feature on a diagram giving more indepth explaination

     • A link to another page or document from a slide to allow you to progress or find new information
