INTENSIFIERS

  1. to understand intensifiers it is convenient to understand how advebios work in Spanish; just as adjectives modify nouns or nouns, adverbs modify adjectives, verbs or the same adverb

    • example:
      • ''the house is pretty'', if we intensify the adjective we would have ''the house is very pretty''
        • the intensifiers are:
          • TOO
            • Too means there is a lot of something. It shows a negative opinion. It’s
              • You can use too before an adjective.
                • Example: It’s too hot = It is very hot and I don’t like it
          • ENOUGH
            • Enough means you have what you need.
              • Write enough before a noun
                • Example: We have enough chairs
          • SO
            • So means very.
              • So is generally used before an adjective or an adverb
                • Example:He’s so funny! He plays the piano so well!
          • SUCH
            • Such also means very. Such is used before an adjective and noun
              • A / an, if necessary, go after such, not before.
                • Example: They are such nice children.
