RAM vs Heat correlation experiment

1. Objective

   • To find a viable and predictable pattern/correlation between the amount of RAM used and the heat expelled by the computer

2. Method

   • Record a baseline test for the specified computer
   • Start low taxing program (around 1 GB + of RAM)
   • Record data for 20 min
   • repeat for 2 GB, 3 GB and 4 GB
   • Analyze and evaluate the data

3. Materials

   • Temperature probe, Data Logger, Computer and a timer

4. Why?

   • The corelation can help design better and more efficient cooling systems for new computers
