     • Priviledged users bind these to standard services
       • SSH port 22

   • Non-Priviledged
     • 1024 - 49151
   • Ephemeral
     • 49152 - 65535
     • Also known as dynamic ports
     • Short lived transport protocol port
     • For IP communications allocated from a pre-defined range
