1. Types of Quantum Computing

   • Something that i had previously not considered was that there is different types of quantum computer architecture.
     • I have decided to look into the adiabatic quantum computing as that is the one that is implemented by the company D-Wave.
     • Narrowing down my research to one of these types of quantum computer means that i will have more time to get the depth required in an extended project - This is implementing the advice the centre co-ordinator gave me.

2. RSA Encryption

   • In my initial research plan i stated that i wanted to not only look at the physics behind quantum computing but also the impact that it may have no our life.
     • Looking into RSA (Public / Private key encryption) will give me a chance to look at the wider effects that quantum computing may have on society.

3. Quantum Mechanics

   • I have decided to only look at two principle of quantum mechanics that underline quantum computers. The first being Superposition and the second being Entanglement. I think it is better to develop my project full with these two principle than it is to try many more in.
     • I am going to use the schrodinger cat thought experiment to allude to superposition.
