1. Common pseudocode notation

   • Input
     • indicates a user will be inputting something
   • Output
     • Indicates that an output will appear on the screen
   • While
     • A loop
   • For
     • a counting loop
   • Repeat-until
     • a loop that has a condition at the end
   • If-then-else
     • A decision in which a choice is made

2. Common flowchart symbols

   • Start and stop
     • The begginning and the end points in the sequence
   • Process
     • An instruction or a command
   • Decision
     • Either yes or no
   • Connector
     • A jump from one sequence to another
   • Direction of flow
     • Connects the symbols
       • Arrows show the direction of flow
