Oscillatory Motion
Periodic Motion
- The motion of an object that regularly returns to a given position after a fixed time interval.
Hooke´s Law
- This law is related with SHM and states that the force F needed to extend or compress a spring by some distance X is proportional to that distance.
Simple Harmonic Motion
- This is a periodic motion that occurs when a force is acting on an object that is proportional to the position of the object relative to some equilibrium position.
Particle in Simple Harmonic Motion
- We need to apply derivatives to represent in a mathematical form of the model that expose the particle in simple harmonic motion.
Representation Of SHM
- Position versus time. Velocity versus time. Acceleration versus time.
Angular Frequency
- W is the angular frequency, and it is represented in radians per second. The more oscillations per unit time, the higher the value of W
