   • Used to protect a computer network from intruders.
   • Used when a program is trying to connect to another network
   • Controls which programs can send and receive data packets
   • Should be used on attachments to emails.

   • Encryption secures your data such as messages and personal information. It does this by scrambling your messages with a code.
   • you encrypt a message by cipher.
   • You decrypt a massage by a key.
   • We use encryption when you want to send personal data to someone else.
   • you can tell if a website uses encryption by seeing if it has a padlock infront of the https://
   • All websites don't use encryption because some websites doesn't need a password.
   • In everyday life encryption is used with whatsapp and other phone apps or websites.

   • Scans a computer periodically
   • Protects against malicious software
   • Prevents harmful data entering your computer
   • Needs updating regulary
   • Quarantines any program or files which are harmful.
   • should be used when downloading software from the internet
