1- Thinking what is going to be written 2- Collecting ideas 3-The final step is to publish.

Writing models: Good writers are readers.Encourge your children to read what they like and vocabulary will be vast
Group writing: Children can be collaboratelly on a writing project, but it need to be carefully organizedon the part of the teacher
