   • Atoms are made up of protons and neutrons. The proton have a positive electric gharge.
   • The electrons spin around the nucleus, so they are constantly moving. The electrons have a negative electric ch

2. How do we use electricity

   • Electricity is used in many ways in our homes, schools and workplaces. For example: we used elecrticity to woorm and light our homes, to boild water, to cook and watch TV or listen to Music.

   • Static electricity is the movement of electrons between two matereals

4. Electric current and electricity conductors

   • Electric current is the movement, or flow along a wire, of electrons between atoms.
     • wire = cable
   • Some types of matter have electrons that move easily from one atom to an other. We call these electrical conductors, because electricity can flow easily through them.
     • Metals are an example of electrical conductors. For this reason wires are made of metal.
   • Electrictrical conductors are matereals that allow electric current to flow through.
     • Examples: salt water metal such as copper, aluminium non metals like:  graphite(a form of carbon)

   • Electricity is a form of energy
   • All mater is made up of microscopic atoms. Electricity is formed when a part of each atom, called an electron, moves from one atom to an other
