1. Inclined Plane

   • Flat Slope Surface
     • Example:- Ramp

2. Wedge

   • 2 inclined planes Back to back
     • Used to cut, sharp EX: Knife

3. Screw

   • Inclined plane wrapped around a cylinder
     • Example = Light bulb

4. lever

   • It is a rigid bar that is free to rotate or pivot around a fixed point
     • The fixed point is called fulcrum
       • Example = SEE SAW

5. Wheel and axle

   • THE WHEEL
     • Door knob

6. Pulley

   • Grooved wheel with a cable wrapped around it
     • Fixed pulley
       • Changes the direction 
     • Movable pulley
       • Decreases the amount of input force needed 
     • Block and tackle
       • Fixed and movable pulleys
