Macbeth and LM relationship

1. "My dearest love"

   • After being apart for a whilde, they are pleased to see eachother and are happy
   • They are equal and make a great team
     • "Partner of Greatness"

2. After the murder of King Duncan, Macbeth and Lady Macbeth start to almost change places.

   • Macbeth does not tell LM of his plan to kill Banquo
     • But feels it is necessary, showing how influenced by LM he is because she has changed him into a willing killer.
     • She then thinks he is seeing Duncan at the banquet,
       • They are no longer sharing information as freely with eachother
         • Different from the start, the letter explaining everything that has happened

3. LM is in control, particuarly for the first half of the play

   • "A little water clears us of this Deed"
   • She then begins to lose control, eventually committing suicide
     • While Macbeth now stays calm and composed

4. LM is the more cunning and smart. Paticularly in the first half

   • "Look to the Lady"
     • Gets Macbeth out of a situation where he is paniking and almost gives them up
   • The more ambitious of the two
     • Wants to kill Duncan,
   • She is clearly good at convincing Macbeth to do things.
     • "Then you were a man"
       • Knows how to get to him to convince him
     • Perhaps the has done this more often
       • A regular occurance without Macbeth knowing
