2. When analysing language you should do:

   • settings - the settings include place and time where everything takes place.
     • Themes- themes are the main ideas beneath the text in the story.
       • characterisation -characters develop through what they say and do in pieces of writing and language describes them.
         • annotate text - what can you infer from what you have just read break it down.
           • language - words , imagery and language
             • structure - the structure f the story can say a lot about either a character or the plot.
               • context
                 • audience - describe how you feel as an audience member how would others feel
                   • purpose
