  1. What is social exclusion?
    1. has been defined by (DFID) as a “process by which certain groups are systematically disadvantaged because they are discriminated against on the basis of their ethnicity, race, religion, gender , age, etc.
    2. social exclusion affect economic development
      1. about 50% of the 15 million people living in Guatemala are poor, the people rated in the our country are unemployed people and these people are in age of working, looking for a job it reached 230, 137 that’s mean 4.06%of the economically active population (PEA), these people are excluded to participate and be part of the PEA.
      2. social exclusion affect the social growth
        1. because social exclusion born poverty and its represented by the 50% in Guatemala, the lack of education is other problem, the level of education in Guatemala is extremely low. Migration in Guatemala, have a high percentage and that is because the condition that some people live such as extremely poverty, this requires Guatemala people to come and go from one place to another to search for a better apace in order to have better opportunities and equality. This condition happen very frequently in Guatemala for conditions such as uncompleted education or illiteracy
        2. the formal and informal sector of society are affected and they are linked with social exclusion
          1. the informal sector in Guatemala most of the people belong to this making the 66.72%, are employed in the informal sector.,these people are unprotected by labor laws and their incomes won’t be stable each month. In contrast with the formal sector making the 33.28% have a stable job in Guatemala, that’s mean with the guarantee of a minimum wage, access to social security, and vacation benefits.
          2. conclusion
            1. , social exclusion is present in Guatemala and we can see it in economical development and social growth this affect the society making a society become poor and full of inequalities and that’s why Guatemala can’t grow because while there are people very powerful and this part of the society is very few, but the other big part of Guatemala are excluded and they can’t have the same rights s, so they can’t progress for instance, society can’t progress making poverty, malnutrition, migration, violence , illiteracy and a country delayed.
            2. My question:
              1. how social exclusion affect economic development, social growth and the informal and formal sector of the society?
