1. Project Manager

   • Makes Financial plans
     • Predicts Budget
     • Plans and monitors Expenditure
   • Manages timing, deadlines and schedules
     • Uses tools such as Gantt charts, critical path analysis
   • Manages Personel
     • Main point of contact for staff
   • Responsible for whole project
   • Makes sure documentation is completed by the right people, on time, and delivered to costumer.
   • Quality control

2. Systems Analyst

   • Investigation and analysis stage
   • Writes requirement specification
   • Analysis current system
     • Examine documents
     • Interview user
     • Write, issue and analyse questionnaire
     • Observe company functions

3. Systems Designer

   • Design stage
     • Design and plan all the system
     • Follows requirement specification
     • Creates design specification and test plan
   • Talks with analyst before this stage
   • Talks with programmer before and during development stage.
   • Talks with client for feedback

4. Programmer

   • Implementation/ Development stage
   • Talks with client for project feedback
   • Follows design specification
   • Talks with system designer
   • Creates software solutions and technical documents
     • Including any programming code

5. Tester

   • Testing stage
   • Follows test plan by designer or creates a test plan
     • Selects test data
     • Conducts black (modular) and white (whole system) box testing
   • Tests the user documentation
   • Looks for error in system
     • Works against programmer
       • Programmers are less motivated to find errors
     • Test system to limits
     • Documents results in testing
       • Feedback to programmer to improve system

6. Need for a Team

   • O- Custom-written solutions are usually large projects
     • O- Individual cannot complete the whole project
   • O- Different people have different skills
     • O- Specialised training
     • O- More experience in field
