2. the four R's

   • reduce
     • minimise the amount of materials and energy you use
   • recycle
     • take an existing product that has become waste and reprocess the materials to use in a new product.
   • reuse
     • take an existing orduct that has become waste, and use the materials or parts for another purpose, without procesing it: example, bottle.
   • recover
     • finding waysto create energy from waste that has been disposed of. modern technology allows us to treat waste using thermal and non thermal processes to product heat, oil or electrcity
