1. A parabola is a curve where any point is at an equal distance

2. The vertex is where the parabola makes its sharpest turn

3. The axis of symmetry is a line that runs down the center of a parabola

4. The equation of a parabola can be expressed in either standard or vertex form

   • Vertex: a(x-h)2+k
   • Standard: y=ax2+bx+c
