  1. Weight training
    1. To train using resistance.
      1. Increases muscular endurance, strength and power.
        1. Good for any athlete needing to exert large force e.g Boxer.
        2. Circuit Training
          1. Series of exercises completed for amount of time/repetitions.
            1. Improves muscular endurance and cardiovascular fitness.
              1. Prevents boredom and good for all-round fitness.
              2. Continuous Training
                1. Working at a constant lever for set time/distance.
                  1. Improves cardiovascular fitness and muscular endurance.
                    1. Good for endurance athletes.
                    2. Interval Training
                      1. High intensity work for short periods of time.
                        1. Good for athletes who require short bursts eg. Sprinter
                        2. Fartlek Training
                          1. Work involving various intensities
                            1. Good for athletes who require various intensities eg. Footballer.
                            2. Cross Training
                              1. Combines different methods and is adaptable to different situations.
