1. The persona conveys his depressed and worried mood, as his children are now alone and he fears they aren't safe no more.

   • "They became sunlit points; in a broad Haphazard world" This metaphor does convey this threat his children are facing and that he is worried about them. It does also adds that his children are innocent kids used to the protection of their parents, emphasised with "sunlit points" conveyng all the procupations of his father because of how innocent they are they won't be able to surive to the "Haphazard" world.

2. It is also depicted with metaphors the dangers of the outside world, being the main reason for the father's preocupation

   • "Against the random patterns of the sea" This metaphor conveys that despite the outside world may seem calm and at ease but suddenly chaos may broke out, conveying how unsteady the world can be and that is a serious threat to his children, this has the effect to convey that the outside world it is very dangerous for his kids and aren't prepared for the outside world, conveying his father's preocupation.
