Take a look at the video above.Did you miss something? It’s called inattentional blindness.This happens because people often miss large changes in their visual fields. According to Chabris and Simons (2010), this phenomenon happens because if you are paying attention to one thing, and you don't expect changes to appear, than you can easily iss changes that do occur.

Notes to remember: Dont assume people will see something just because it’s there. If you want to be sure people notice a change in their visual fields, make sure you add visual or auditory cues. Eye-tracking data can mislead conclusions. Be careful when analysing this kind of data and don't use it as main basis for your design decisions.
