When someone is getting married in a western christian culture, you expect a bride to wear a white dress. In the oder hand, you won't see a bride in New Delhi wearing a white dress because she is getting married, not burring her husband.
We have to always consider the cultural meanings of color while designing. Sometimes colors have meanings that are similar in different cultures, but most of them have completely different meanings.
Some of the color's meanings
Green - Money, 'go'
Black - death, power, mystery
Red - danger, passion, romance
Blue - peace, stability, confidence
Yellow - joy, cheerfulness,
White - freshness, hope, purity
Pink - romance, compassion, love
Purple - royalty, luxury, wisdom
