This author is gonna say that there is basically two povs of traditional social psychology, held by Foucualt, meaning that the discipline, the knowledge goal it is fight against the ways of power, analyze the ficial speeches where dominatation lies in order to social change. Ts means that pss can not satisfy the social demand of domination, it can not exist a therapeutic state or a social comission.

Anyways, there is two moments in history where the state needed from the knowledge to apply control mechanisms

a. the manicomalization, called as the big confinement in the XVII century, was the "process of sanitation of the city" and the ones who altered the social orden where the crazy ones and the violent, who must get caught and locked up, and be usefull to labour.

b. "The Big Unconfinement." unmanicomalization process, wich starts whit capitalism as the form of social organization, production and consumption. This means more demanding, more produciton, more jobs, developing an individualization process where they mark the line of the eclussion and inclussion to assign a person "not-crazy" able to work. All of this by the hand of a higher surveillance going both ways, the prisoner and the new worker

2. 1945 end ww2; a massive migration happen from Europe to USA with social problems of europan people. So the social comission was adapating this inmigrants to the established social and productive order by the analysis of the observable and measurable behavior.

3. 1960-1870 "trust crisis" in order to the economic crisis and the lost of USA in vietnam, theres a questioning of the social sistem and to insuciency and inability of the PS.

So the PSST asumes the individual as the ponit of start, with 2 aceptions, not divided and undependent of the context, a study oriented to a right adecuacy of the human being to the domination condition. We must remember that de epistemological crisis its not superpassed, we shall reenchant the world with new noion of cience bt the face of deconstruccion and construccion.
