- Tails is the acronym you use to properly draw a graph.
-
- - A title needs to be placed to inform people of the data in the graph.
- - A graph is centered around y vs x, which is dependent variable against independent variable.
- - Ex: Enzyme activity at Different Temperatures (Enzyme Activity: y, Temperature: x, so Enzyme Acitivity is testing against Temperature.)
-
- - Draw the axis’s and label them, as such:
- • Y axis is vertical, while x axis is horizontal.
- • Dependent lies on the y axis, while independent lies on the x axis.
- • Think of it as the y axis depending on the x axis to stand.
-
- - Intervals need to be properly spaced, meaning that a certain amount of squares hold a value.
- - Ex: One square: 5 degrees
- - Intervals need to be maintained throughout the whole axis.
- - Intervals need to be on both axis’s.
-
- - You need to connect the dots to make a line if you’re making a line graph.
- - Label axis and anything that needs to be labeled if you’re making any graph.
-
- - Scale the Intervals based on the lowest and highest numbers in the set of data.
- - Ex: The smallest number is 6 and the biggest number is 18. Then, using a scale of 3 for every interval or 6 for every interval would be wise.
