Viaje al Centro de la Tierra, Capítulo 2
El profesor Lidenbrock llama a Axel para enseñarle un libro muy antiguo de los islandeses titulado " Heimskringla", de Snorri Sturluson y es el original, por lo tanto viene en un manuscrito rúnico. Están hablando de él, y a Axel no le interesa en absoluto el libro, pero finge sorpresa. Mientras el profesor esta examinándolo, se cae un documento al suelo y lo examinan. Como Lidenbrock no puede traducir lo que viene ahí, se frustra y falta su comida, así que Axel se come su porción y la de su tío.
