- 1Type 1 LSAsCalled router LSAs, sent to all routers in the same area, contains IP addresses, masks, and router ID's.
- 2Type 2 LSAsCalled network LSAs, sent by any DR that has a neighbor. Delivers status reports on the entire network. Contains a description of the network, subnet, and mask.
- 3Type 3 LSAsCalled summary LSAs, sent by ABR and describe subnets in other areas.
