Lymington is located on the south coast of the UK in the county of Hampshire. It lies just south of the New Forest National Park. - 12Settlement changes over time - Lymington11th Century: The main function was a small port and market centre. The town provided excellent fishing because of it's location.

- 15Settlement changes over time - LymingtonToday: A town of 15,000 inhabitants it's prosperity is based on it's unctions like leisure. It's a port with boats/ hovercrafts to the Isle of Wight. Also it's a popular retirement and second home area.
