| War | War is a major contributory factor to poverty. In many LEDCs even if we just focus on the last 30-40 years, there have been unstable governments infighting, causing interval civil wars and wars between poor countries (Destroying; schools, hospitals...) |
| Debt | Many LEDCs have to borrow money from banks or the world bank. This money allows them to start developing. However the interest has to be paid and is very high and quite often higher in foreign countries |
